Special Midnight Concert - Friday 27th March - Temple

At 38 years old, Brad Mehldau goes forward armed with some kind of anthology, a series of albums called The Art Of The Trio. Even if it was his presence in the quartet of the saxophonist Joshua Redman that made his famous in 1993, his work in trio is still the heart of his art. In trio but also in solo as it will be the case for the midnight concert at the Temple.

Oumou Sangaré, the most famous singer from Mali, has been elevated since a couple of years to the rank of star either on the African continent or internationally. Oumou is not afraid of words and writes text engaged on the troubles that devastate her country, such as forced marriages, polygamy or the lack of Women’s freedom. The diva sings in her mother tongue, the bambara, for African women and women worldwide. She has the grace of a Queen, but stays true to her roots and the tradition.
